Course with high standards of learning and competitive job prospectives upon graduation
It's a relatively small and hence its hard to socialise within the course but otherwise the course is interesting
My advice to future students is: make sure you keep up with studies.
There's a wide range of electives to broaden the scope of course under study
My advice to future students is: Work smart and study courses that are of your interest
In-depth and up to date information
My advice to future students is: Manage your time
Positive: This course provides hands on experience with some real time scenarios and problem solving.
Negative: The course does not provide any sort of Internship so that we can practically gain some experience from companies out there.
My advice to future students is: I believe that they should always be open to learning
Positives - I found the resources and facilities provided are excellent.
Negative - The teachers and course materials are sub standard and poorly planned and managed
My advice to future students is: Question coming to Unsw to do Manufacturing Engineering and management. Try Usa or Canada. Plus there are no more pr prospects for engineers in Australia so basically its useless now to come to Australia.
I really liked parts of the coursework, but there were some areas that seemed to be going over the same information.
My advice to future students is: Be prepared to study hard
I doing a civil engineering major.
The lecturers are amazing!
It's very not very experience oriented like some other courses ie not much of it is practical. That's what's negative.
My advice to future students is: Figure out if you actually want to do the course
Positive: interesting choice of topics that you can cover.
The lab activities are good and practical, you need to learn programs, for example Matlab.
Negative: some of the methods of teaching could have been improved
My advice to future students is: take part in as many clubs as possible.
Positive - good coursework planning, nice teaching atmosphere, interactive
Negative - very expensive
My advice to future students is: Know what you want to do, focus largely on the course and what it provides for your career
