Positives: Plenty of opportunities to gain experience in a variety of different clinical settings.

Negatives: time restraints, putting all deadlines for assignments within a close time frame. Sometimes it felt like we were not given enough time to practice our clinical skills

My advice to future students is: dont leave things to last minute. attend the practice labs. read ahead of class

Positives: At UTS there a new lab facilities which are fantastic to learn in! The teachers are amazing as well. I love the practical side of nursing it’s so engaging.

Negatives: The classes are a smaller size so depending on the individuals that are in the class the contribution can at times be minimal which I find effects the way I learn.

Maths is a huge part of the nursing course which at times I struggle with.

My advice to future students is: Continuously review your notes and keep on top of what you learn on a week to week basis so that once exams come it’s second nature. Consult with the lecturers.
