Positives: It was very interesting and widened my view of social and global issues. The electives available were still quite relevant and I found that the discussions and assignments we did were thought provoking and made me smarter.
Negatives: Well, social science isn’t social work, so you’re kind of studying without getting a clear job qualification at the end. And the rooms the classes were in were all really spread out and there was a lot of jogging around.
My advice to future students is: Don’t be late to classes because the rooms are everywhere, and don’t fall behind on your readings! It’s a very written content heavy course and once you’re behind, it’s very hard to finish an essay with good sources.
