Positives: We do a lot of practical stuff, the assignments are based on very close to real-life cases. The teachers are willing to help us with anything. There are many both group projects and individual assignments. Lectures are usually recorded, the Uni uses Canvas to provide us with all of the materials - which are extremely useful.

Negatives: Almost all classes start from very low level even though there are some prerequisites. Sometimes assignments aren't very difficult but time-consuming and they must be done in a way teacher wants us to do them (meaning there's little room for our own thinking)

My advice to future students is: Even though there are some negative aspects, I recommend this course. It is easy to work part time during studies and as I've said - studies are actually practical and I think it may be very useful in the future.

Positives: Can easily make new friends. Interesting topics and concepts introduced every week. Good lecturers.

Negatives: Too many contact hours - there are at least 20 hours a week. Lot of external assessments and things to learn.

My advice to future students is: More resources to help us learn new topics

Positives: Can study on my own schedule and maintain a full working life/social life while studying. Able to do lectures and tutorials anywhere at any time. Its all online, So i only need an internet connection and a laptop.

Negatives: Depends heavily on the lecturers who organise the course. Some can make the information clear and simple to study. Others can make it unnecessarily convoluted.
Also, it can be difficult to generate motivation as its done on top of working rather than complementing it.

My advice to future students is: Choose the subjects you are interested in, balance work and study effectively. Dont decieve yourself because you cant physically be involved.

Positives: The positive aspects within this course are: being surrounded by likeminded people who have the same mindset of ambition, also seeing how other people are inspired by design, seeing how they apply their inspiration onto an assignment. The teaching styles are on point and always provide detail within every project and assignment given.

Negatives: The negative aspect with the course is not the course itself but the travel times from my area to the city, it can be unmotivating to get up very early and travel longer than your lecture times.

My advice to future students is: The piece of advice I would offer to potential future students is to stick with the plan of course that allows them to experiment more.

Positives: A positive aspect of my course is the group assignments which there are many of. Secondly the structure of the User Centered Design class is done well with one lecture taking place each with and tutorials being used for both practical activities that take place in class time as well as used for time to complete assignments

Negatives: A negative of my course is the structure of Introduction to Programming, the way information is taught in lectures is not in a way that is understandable and assumes that students already have knowledge in the Java programming language. Secondly programming practicals are not structured well and often lead to students waiting 30 mins - 1.5 hours to demo their work.

My advice to future students is: To stay on top of your work, don’t fall behind and seek help from your tutors as much as possible. I would also recommend being honest in your group peer reviews and changing groups if your group is not working well together because it ends up being a waste of time otherwise

I find the course is an overall good experience. It seems like the coursework is up to date and the major are also up to date and interesting.

My advice to future students is: They should focus early on in deciding which major to choose. There's so much information on each major online - do your research and discover as much as you can early - it'll make learning it easier over time.

The course was great! The teachers were all very supportive, especially in the first year. It was great that our tutors were students who had previously done the subject themselves and had much more specific experience in the courses they were teaching

My advice to future students is: Never be afraid to ask teachers for help
