Take up any extra activities whenever you can (particularly for Engineering & Design students);
Be prepared and committed to study;
Try to get ahead / do your pre-work and start things early;
Don't be afraid to access RMIT help services to get the most out of your course;

Look to resources beyond the standard textbooks. There are plenty of online resources (youtube) these days that can help you learn about new and interesting topics in your study area;
You need to find what subjects in your course interest you. Work hard in these areas and it will help you grow personally and help to understand your possible career path.

Positives: Has a wide range of opportunities within the course and lends you to different aspects within advertising agencies and outside. The course is both creative, strategic and theoretical. It also has a very supportive environment within the Media and communication school.

There is a lot of potential paths once completed such as, creative work, strategy, copywriting and so much more. It is simply broken down with a few compulsory subjects as well as preferences. The course is apart of the Media and Communication school with a range of interesting people within this. All the teachers are passionate and inspiring. Its a great course to help you decide what to do or explore something new.

Negatives: The semesters are quite short with no exams which is annoying as there is a lot of time off.

My advice to future students is: Trust the course as it can allow you to develop many skills in a range of areas preparing you for many future careers.

I would highly recommend this course to a range of people even though it seems very narrow and focused.

Positives: They provide us with many practical work to prepare us for the future where we have to work with clients and such. They also taught us many things that was necessary for us to know before we go into the working field in our respective departments

Negatives: There are currently no negative aspects that I have faced honestly, the classes, tutors, everything was great

My advice to future students is: Potential future students should prepare themselves for all the industrial experience that they are going to be facing in this course as there are many real life client projects to work on

Positives: I love how the course is preparing me for real life situations in my future jobs. They gave me many on hand experience and also knowledge on how to handle things.

Negatives: The only negative aspects i could think of is maybe the assignment work loads sometimes. It actually depends on the classes I'm taking, sometimes the due dates of many assignments clashes together at the same and it's very stressful to handle many things at the same time.

My advice to future students is: I think future potential students should really know what they are interested in what they want to do in the future and then choose their courses because it might be hard for people to complete assignments and tasks if they are not particularly interested in the subject

Positives: They prepared us with many different types of assignments and challenges so that we would get a glimpse of what it is like in the working world. They also kept us up to date with every assignments and was very passionately teaching us about the subjects that I am taking.

Negatives: I must say the negative aspects of the course I am taking would be the work load. Sometimes it isn't enough time to complete some assignments because it is needed that we do many things at once and sometimes there just isn't enough time.

My advice to future students is: I would suggest future potential students to be prepared for all the workload as there are times where you wouldn't have enough time to manage many things at once so time management is very important
