I'm majoring in Wildlife and Conservation Biology.
Positives: It provide lots of opportunities for hand on experiences.
Lots of trips away for field experiences.
Wide range of knowledge from experienced lecturers.
Negatives: I had to travel away from home to complete it.
My advice to future students is: Be sure that the course is what you really wanna do before starting. So that you don’t regret choosing it. It’s long and expensive. Be sure.
I studied a Bachelor of Science and Society (no longer offered).
Positive - I could mix aspects of science with non science which is great for someone who's a little unsure of which direction to take.
Negative - automatic double major, can be hard work with little choice of electives
My advice to future students is: Pick something you love doing. It makes it so much easier to study and go through with everything. Lessens the stress
The course opens the door for Medicine but there aren't really many job opportunities for this degree
My advice to future students is: Do it if you are looking to go for Med afterwards.
