Really knowledgeable lecturers and decent resources.
Unfortunately due to lack of funding we are unable to use or create many of the devices that we need. This means that we are not fully prepared for placement in fourth year.
My advice to future students is: Make sure all lectures are watched, particularly from second year onwards. Make sure your cast mods are perfect before you laminate/mould
Positive: Opportunity for future employment if the individual is hands on and motivated to network within the industry
Negative: You have to endure several subjects that are irrelevant to the course
My advice to future students is: Take the course with an open mind
Love the amount of hands on work we get to do. We are constantly placed in situations that allow us to understand how the class is run, and we are offered heaps of opportunities to learn to teach the classes as well.
My advice to future students is: Learning how to teach a class is a great insight into the way you were taught during school, absolutely would recommend
Positive - the campus close is to home, I've been able to meet new friends
Negative - lecturers are hard to contact for help. This could be better addressed.
My advice to future students is: Don’t study unless you are ready. You have to be ready to apply yourself fully. It’s better to get life experience beforehand and find out who you are and what you want before studying
I find classes very interesting, although in first year there's a lot of theory and not very relatable classes but hold in there, it gets more interesting.
You just have to work for it
My advice to future students is: Stick it out, it’s a lot of work and time but it’s worth it in the end
I haven’t really started classes yet but I’ve been looking through the coursework and it all looks very interesting and easy enough to understand. The learning portal seems easy to navigate
My advice to future students is: Pick something you’re passionate about
There are so many classes (and contact hours) and I’m always super busy but I enjoy all of it.
I’ve made so many new friends and have had so many experiences and loved them all. Would definitely recommend.
My advice to future students is: Always pick a course you will be interested in don’t do something boring you will regret it
I liked the course content on offer as part of the degree. You get to select your major.
I wasn’t a fan of the studying format so much but I guess that is part of university.
Will be returning in a couple of years to do more.
My advice to future students is: Make sure you know what you want from life, don’t let people change your mind
There's lots of theory involved in this course. I find the text books were quite vague.
It is an interesting course but I will be transferring out of it though. Seems to be an interim course for a lot of people.
My advice to future students is: Don’t pathway, get directly into the course you want to do.
Very good course, subjects are all fairly relative and have good content.
You learn what you expect to learn.
Very good class. I enjoyed it a lot. Good course, good teachers
My advice to future students is: Do this course it’s awesome, very good, worth it
