I did this course with a different structure a long time ago.
Practical aspects are top class, lecturers inspiring, and course material excellent. Negatives - it would be better if the course included opportunity to gain some industry qualification opportunities.
My advice to future students is: This the best outdoor ed course in Australia and industry recognized.
I majored in HR
Positives - Broad career options, theoretical, not too hard, recognised worldwide.
Negatives - Not on the PR list, pricey, time consuming.
My advice to future students is: To opt for it if you're really passionate about the industry.
Stay motivated as it can get boring sometimes. Prepare as it includes a lot of writing
Positive- it is something i am passionate about and allows me to study what i love (English and literature)
My advice to future students is: Tour the campus before you go
Positive was the extra opportunities such as placement in 3rd year.
Negative would be that being a regional campus means that the campus lacks some of the resources required for a wider selection of direction in the course (e.g. lecturers, technologies such as certain types of computers, etc.)
My advice to future students is: It's really not as hard as high school, as long as your willing to apply yourself into your interests
Positive - good subjects to choose from. Some of the compulsory are boring and general.
The campus is great and good to get a park at.
Negative - not enough guidance on assessments. It'd be great if we got to see how a good grade could be accomplished. More practical work could be included to help when looking for a job.
My advice to future students is: Find out which area within business they like. Also, do you really want to do a broad business degree?
Don't assume this will open up the possibility of more IT jobs automatically, it will depend on your background.
My advice to future students is: This is a good combination of business and IT. You should consider it if your background is IT.
Positive aspect : New course New Opportunities
Negative aspect: Only temp or contract jobs seem to be popular
My advice to future students is: Do online courses for hands on experience on analytical tools to enhance your skill set
Positive aspect is the exposure to softwares and new technology I learnt
Negative is the internship opportunities unavailable
My advice to future students is: Be prepared for the hard work in the business world
Positives - easy to understand content.
Negatives - not enough placement, and some subjects were too general
My advice to future students is: Make sure you look into other universities as some may provide more placement opportunity
There are so many great things! A really nice campus plus a really great foundation year. This has been followed by great teaching facilities and lecturers who really know their stuff.
There are a few worries, one of these being I don't feel ready for placement this year. I feel like we only know the basics but haven't been exposed to the more complex cases and devices.
My advice to future students is: Be careful of your cast modifications and always ask for help when needed!
