Enjoyed the teachers and the course content, wasn’t a huge fan of the amount of theory as I came into the course expecting it to be more physical but I’m glad I learnt what I did

My advice to future students is: Absolutely read up on the course you’re planning on doing, don’t just pick something based on the title

There was a lot of studying involved.

Lots of practical classes which helped with understanding content.

The large amount of assessments was good as it helped you understand everything you needed to as you went along.

My advice to future students is: If you're not enjoying yourself, choose something different. Also, look to get a job before completing this.

The course is super general in first year and not very interesting. Would like more hands on opportunities in first year to keep interest blazing.

The teachers are fun though.

My advice to future students is: If you’re interested in paramed absolutely do this course

I loved the facilities at Latrobe, the labs and the dummies were super realistic and it was cool getting to practice on them all the time. Super excited to enter the workforce

My advice to future students is: Absolutely choose this course, it so interesting and practical.

Didn’t enjoy the classes. Teachers were too strict and the classes were too big. Didn’t feel catered for in the classes. Struggled to understand content

My advice to future students is: Don’t do this class. Do something more practical, this has a lot of theory

Great facilities and knowledgeable lecturers who don't mind helping out even when we ask a lot of questions.

Unfortunately due to lack of funding we are unable to use or create many of the devices that we need. This means that we are not fully prepared for placement in fourth year.

My advice to future students is: Read the lectures and watch YouTube videos of people walking

We are able to have a very hands on experience and are able to learn the basics. We are taught by lecturers who are still practicing which is unique and provides us with first hand experience.

The negative aspects include the fact that we don't learn about enough devices or get hands on experience with these devices. I feel as though I am not prepared to go on placement this year due to lack of technical and clinical experience.

My advice to future students is: Take your time when fabricating and make sure you fully understand what is required before you jump in to modifications. Make sure you watch all the lectures and follow what is happening
