I find Uni.. My experience with Uni till now has been great as they have provided number of opportunities for students alot

Positives: Positive aspect of Uni is they provide good facilities in terms of library, sitting areas. And if I talk about course then, it's well aligned with modern industry requirements

Negatives: Negative aspect is, as students coming from different background in IT. It's so much harder for them to learn the basics as only few portion of it contains basics

My advice to future students is: It's good uni and course if you have some technical background which will help you to understand in lecture more better

Negatives: Some teachers aren’t that qualified

Positive: Computer Labs, used for Tutorial classes, have enough machines and all software
are installed, which facilitates a lot students with our studies.
There are facilities for students to play, relax and eat. The Wi-fi connection is excellent and the library works until 9pm (students are allowed to stay until 10pm). This fact makes a lot of difference, particularly when our own laptops have issues or we don't have.
It is possible to virtually access CQU desktop, if, for instance, you are using Mac or any other operating system.

Negative: the kitchen doesn't have proper maintenance and are always dirty (as well as classes)
Microwaves are often out of order.
All students should be clean and use deodorant - even though it isn't up to the University,
there should be some marketing campaign about hygiene habits.
The customer services at the 1st floor should be improved.

My advice to future students is: The university is good enough to complete a good master course and apply for a post graduate visa.

Positive aspects: The University isn't too restrict with attendance and the price, compared to other institutions, isn't extremely expensive. Subjects are according to market needs and professors have good knowledge about what is being taught, although the best professionals are extremely academic focused.
CQU also provides excellent scholarship conditions, so students are able to keep the maximum of 20% discount during the whole course. The campus is located in CBD and it’s easy to commute and buy affordable food, if you have classes throughout the day.

Negative aspects: international students are segregated from national and there isn't room for improving English speaking skills. Majority of students are Indians and Nepalese, which decreases diversity of nationalities, making the experience of studying in Australia poorer.
Lectures and tutorials’ material aren’t attractive and Power Points slides are still being used.
Building campus has poor maintenance and, due lack of strict supervision and punishment, students leave trash traces everywhere.

My advice to future students is: If you are looking for a medium quality University, affordable and close to CBD, CQU is a good option.

No positives. Poor support, limited teaching staff, small classes with little content. We were learning old versions of programs from ten year old textbooks

My advice to future students is: Go with a different university

The course is ok - there are some alright classes, but most of it is pretty average / standard. I'm neutral about whether I'd recommend it to a friend. The facilities are ok, but for a dynamic industry, it's hard to feel that with this course.

My advice to future students is: Look at alternative courses

Positives - The lecturers were very good.
Negatives - The course structure is not good and needs updating / improvements.

My advice to future students is: They can choose various other course and try to contact the current students before joining.

The course had more of practical sections and assignments which has helped me with job.

My advice to future students is: Do lots of research on topics and prepare before the class which will help with better understanding of subjects

UNI is in perfect location in Townhall Sdyney but doesn't have big space to have talk with friends and group discussion.

My advice to future students is: Don't go to CQU, its expensive and doesn't have any good features like other Unis have.
