The course is very hands on and practical which I enjoy.
The core subjects at ACU were boring but it helps you become a better human being.

My advice to future students - Go to all your classes and use your practical classes to refine your clinical skills.

Positives are the teachers, very well experience, facilities are beautiful and all the students were amazing and helpful

Negative would be placements were only 1-3 days instead of a a week or two however they have changed it since last year

My advice to future students - Don’t be shy, ask lots of questions and get involved even you you think you are wrong cause class time is where you are allowed to make mistakes.

Nursing at ACU is truly amazing, their connection with the st Vincent’s hospital and epworth has helped me so much. I’ve been able to see all aspects of nursing as I was unsure what type of nurse I want to be. I’ve settled on midwifery. They are great at showing their students exactly what nursing is like and how serious the choice to be a nurse is.

The positives were the support from the lecturers, the course content was very interesting for me. The negatives were the uni fired our favourite lecturers and the course turned very bad with no support, acu was always slack with responses to emails, organising placements etc so that made it very hard, the nursing content was rather boring at times and didnt relate to the course.

My advice to future students - To remember that aspects of it are boring and you just need to get through the boring subjects to get to the end and reap the benefits. Also to work very hard because your GPA does matter when you apply for jobs in this field.
