I love the practical side of the course as well as the professionals that teach you the course.

The negatives would probably be that because I’m doing a double degree some of the classes repeat a lot or overlap

Positive: good lecturers, the facilities are good, the content is easy to follow

Negative: weren't very good at giving notice for first years about what was needed to be down before they started

My advice to future students is: Read through course outlines and try to get initiated with whatever you can before starting, so you have a bit of an idea of what is going on

Positives are definitely the teaching staff. All so incredibly friendly and super supportive. They make an effort to get to know each student and changes their lessons to suit different learning types. Also start learning OT skills in first year rather than a basic first year of health science. Also start with placement in first year!

Negative would probably be some people had trouble making their time tables work but apart from that I can’t fault it

My advice to future students is: I would tell them to really engage with every class because that is when you learn best. Be open to many experiences because they are the best learning tools you will have. Do something that you love and you will look forward to going to uni every day

Positive: Heaps of fun, get to meet people and make friends.

Negative: It's a lot of work

My advice to future students is: Make sure you really get to to know your Tute and Lecturer, go to uni everyday you're assigned and make sure you take notes prior to the lecture (it's so hard to keep up with the lecturer)

Very interesting content, very well put together course material. Work load is intense

My advice to future students is: Get prepared early and do your readings and necessary preparation recommended by the course outline

The course does not prepare you practically enough. Theoretically they are fantastic. But practically i was under prepared to commence my career

My advice to future students is: You only get out of tutorials what you put in. Ask lots of questions and answer the tutor when they ask the class a question. The more you engage the more you will learn and it will stick.

It’s a good and rewarding job career pathway. Everyone’s very nice. Work is demanding though

My advice to future students is: Stay on top of work and do your readings and pre work

Positive- small course which lets you get to know everybody, both teachers and class mates

Negative- if you fail a single subjects puts you a year behind. Also - placements at bigger hospitals go to Latrobe and Melbourne Students.

My advice to future students is: Use all resourses available, take advantage of opportunities for further learning
